'An apple a day, keeps the doctor away'. We all know that fruits are important to us. Different fruits provide us with different nutrition. According to this article, of all of the fruits we eat, apples are the best source of pectin, a natural fiber that has several health benefits. In my opinion, I think there must be a strong reason why people would say an ‘apple’ a day keeps the doctor away, instead of replacing the word ‘apple’ with another types of fruits in that line.
There are plenty of benefits for making apples as part of our daily diet:

(b) Lower cholesterol
(c) Reduce risk of cancer
(d) Slow aging process
(e) Prevent hair loss
